Drug Dependence and Drug Rehabilitation

Drug addiction and drug dependence are the most important social problem in the today’s world. It has been defined by many different scientific societies. Drug addiction has been defined as the state or condition in which chronic or periodic intoxication harmful to the individual and the general public produced by the frequent intake of routine forming drugs.
It has been an alarming situation and must be addressed and it is being addressed very efficiently. Many drug rehabilitation centers have been established in different parts of the world. These rehabilitation centers have been established with some specific and important aims and objectives. We can discuss these objectives here for the information of the readers. The first objective of the drug rehabilitation and eradication is the identification of the drug addicts. This is a very tiring task but has to be performed by the rehab centers. Moreover, these drug addicts have to be motivated for the drug detoxification
Second but the most important objective of these drug rehab centers is the practical aid to the addicts for the detoxification of these drugs and helping them leave the drug addiction. This requires proper and meticulous hospitalization of these people. This is the only way by which we can help such people return to their routine life. Another very important aspect or we can say objective of these rehab centers is the counseling of the addicts after the detoxification has been done. Follow up is also their task and they have to ensure that recurrence of drug addiction does not happen. If these centers are able to bring these people back to life, they are said to be successful in their orign.
